Terry Spain is a native of Conway, South Carolina. He has served over 21 years in the U.S. Navy and attained the prestigious rank of Chief Petty Officer. During his time in the Navy, he was assigned to various ships and bases across the world. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, NJ. Terry is a member of the Florida Diversity, and has conducted several leadership seminars and Diversity Training for senior executives within the Department of Defense, The White House, Camp David and various small companies.
Before retiring from the U.S Navy, Terry served as one of the Senior Instructor/Facilitator for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) at Patrick Air Force Base, FL. He holds a host of credentials in Organizational Management, Department of Defense Certified Mediator, Certified Small Group Facilitator, Diversity Trainer, Command Climate Specialist, EEO Counselor, Certified Workshop Facilitator and Certified Facilitator Evaluator/Trainer.
As a pillar in the community, he is an active member of the NAACP Central Brevard Branch. Additionally, as a mentor he teaches a like skills course at the Brevard Regional Juvenile Center in Cocoa, Fl.
In 2014, he was awarded The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Roy Wilkins Renown Service Award.
